Pursuant to § 40 TV-L, the Collective Agreement for Public Service Employees of the German Länder (TV-L) provides for special regulations for scientists. They relate in particular to the allocation of experience levels, i.e. the consideration of scientific achievements in this allocation, as well as extended options for performance-related remuneration.
